BOWLING GREEN – Bowling Green State University sophomore defenseman Alec Rauhauser was named Western Collegiate Hockey Association defensive player of the week, the league announced Monday.
Rauhauser had a pair of power-play goals and also added an assist in the Falcons’ 4-1 victory over No. 5 Minnesota State Saturday.
The native of Bismarck, N.D., who also three blocked shots in the weekend series against the Mavericks, leads all WCHA defensemen with 10 points in 13 games.
The Falcons return to the Slater Family Ice Arena for a stretch of seven straight home games, starting with this weekend’s series versus former CCHA rival Miami.
