Brooklyn Nets: Grading the offseason

Sean Marks hasn’t made any splashy moves since the new league year opened on July 1, but the moves he’s made have been focused on two things for the Brooklyn Nets: adding future assets and clearing cap space for the summer of 2019.

On those fronts, it’s been a fairly successful summer for the Nets GM and, hey, there’s every indication that the moves will not only help set the stage for the next step in the rebuilding process, but also result in a more competitive club in 2018-19.

The Nets have signed three unrestricted free agents, retained another and have participated in trades with the Charlotte Hornets, Atlanta Hawks, Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns, taking on some contracts from other clubs for this year while dumping one significant one.
