Devin Mesoraco’s rehab stint in Louisville was brief, ending after two games when the Reds activated the catcher for Wednesday’s game against the Diamondbacks.
Mesoraco, who was placed on the disabled list on July 3 with a left shoulder injury, made two starts for the Bats, catching the entire game in both contests. He was 1 for 7 with a grand slam and three walks in two games.
“This shoulder really wasn't a big issue, just give it some time to let it calm down and get back out there,” Mesoraco said before Wednesday’s game.
After catching the last two games in Louisville, Wednesday was a scheduled day off for Mesoraco, but he’ll still be available to come off the bench, Reds manager Bryan Price said.
