When Robert Stephenson was sent down to Louisville at the end of May, he tried to adjust his windup, bringing his hands over his head.
In his first game with his new windup, he walked five batters in the first two innings and decided quickly to scrap the new windup, especially since his marching orders from Cincinnati were to throw strikes.
“I said I can't do this anymore,” Stephenson said. “The next time around I tried just going down a little bit lower with my hands and that's pretty much stuck with me the last couple of times and I've been a lot better like that.
