Bailey still turned in a quality start with six innings, two earned runs, eight hits, two walks and three strikeouts. Three of his first four innings ended with double plays.
Marlins starter Jose Urena gave up one earned run and three hits over six-plus innings with two walks and four strikeouts. Urena also hit Scott Schebler with a pitch twice, including one to start the third inning. Schebler eventually scored from third base on a Billy Hamilton sacrifice fly.
During the Reds' current skid, they have been held to two runs or fewer five times.
