Quentin Gibson earned a spot on the Football Writers Association of America's 25th Anniversary Freshman All-American Team.
He was nominated as a return specialist.
Gibson played in all 12 games for the Buffs this season, mainly featured on special teams with occasional offensive snaps.
The true freshman ranked sixth nationally with 597 return yards, just 108 behind Baylor's Kole Wilson, who led all of college football.
He topped all true freshmen with 626 return yards between kickoff and punt returns, outpacing the next closest by 120 yards.
This marks Colorado's fifth recipient of this award and second returner to earn it.
