Tuesday started a crucial early-conference season stretch where Creighton plays four of the top six teams in the Big East in the span of 12 days. They won the first game, 89-85 over Butler, and next up is a team who presents some of the same stylistic challenges: Seton Hall.
The Pirates enter the game at 12-2, and are one of the biggest surprises of the season so far. Picked dead last in the Big East preseason poll by the league’s coaches, it was hard to argue with that assessment at the time. They were 7-25 a year ago and 2-18 in the Big East, winning just twice after December 4 with both wins coming in overtime.
