Georgetown players selected No. 2 and No. 3 in MLS draft

BALTIMORE — Josh Yaro and Keegan Rosenberry played alongside one another on Georgetown’s backline for three years. On Thursday, they remained side by side, this time in the Baltimore Convention Center after being selected by the Philadelphia Union with consecutive first-round picks in the MLS draft.

The Union chose Yaro, a junior center back, with the No. 2 selection and Rosenberry, a senior right back, at No. 3.

With the first pick, Chicago claimed Wake Forest freshman midfielder Jack Harrison, then traded him to New York City FC for the No. 4 choice and allocation money, which the Fire used on Stanford defender Brandon Vincent.
