Yesterday’s report of a big move from D.C. United could be the start of a trend. Following up on something that ESPN’s Taylor Twellman said last week on Sirius XMFC, we can confirm that United has engaged in preliminary talks with former Sporting Kansas City attacker Krisztian Nemeth to bring him back to MLS.
The 28-year old Hungarian striker scored 11 goals in 28 games with KC in 2015 before moving to Al-Gharafa of the Qatari League. Nemeth spent 2016 there, scoring 13 goals in 26 games, but is currently looking for back pay owed to him by the club before making a decision on his next club.
