Jermaine Jones left U.S. national team camp and returned to the Colorado Rapids to continue his recovery from a knee injury that has sidelined him for two months. He was among 26 players named by Jurgen Klinsmann for the two World Cup qualifiers — Friday at St. Vincent and the Grenadines and next Tuesday vs. Trinidad and Tobago in Jacksonville — but was never in the plans to actually play; Klinsmann wanted to get a first-hand look at him during the FIFA window.
