After a weekend in Germany watching and meeting U.S. players, freshly appointed national team coach Bruce Arena will attend MLS Cup on Saturday in Toronto. It will be his second trip to Ontario in short time after attending the second leg of the Eastern Conference finals last week.
Competing players with recent national team experience include Seattle’s Jordan Morris and Brad Evans and Toronto’s Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore. With an MLS-heavy group coming to U.S. camp next month, Arena might have an eye on other candidates, as well.
In Toronto, he will also have an opportunity to meet with officials from the league and various clubs attending the match.
