GAINESVILLE — UF quarterback DJ Lagway announced he’ll enter the transfer portal after two seasons with the Gators, culminating with a disappointing sophomore year that fell well short of expectations and ended in a 4-8 finish.
Lagway announced the decision on his Instagram account Monday, more than two weeks before the portal officially opens Jan. 2.
“I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have been part of such an incredible program here at the University of Florida,” he wrote. “After much prayer, reflection, and thoughtful consideration, I have decided to enter the transfer portal.
