The New York Jets had a golden opportunity to move into a playoff spot after nine weeks if they would have defeated the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday. Instead, they fell to 11th in the AFC playoff standings and currently sit in the middle of the draft order at the halfway point of the season.
At 4-4, the Jets would currently hold the 16th pick in the 2024 draft, which will be held April 25-27, 2024 in Detroit.
Technically, the Jets do not control that pick because of the condition of the Aaron Rodgers trade with the Green Bay Packers.
