Every once in a while, the NBA undergoes a revolution in gameplay. In fact, there’s one going on right now with the three-point shot. What began as a dirty little secret among the analytically-inclined has become common knowledge among all NBA fans: shooting a lot of threes is good offense.

The reasoning is intuitive (more points, better shot), and the idea caught on pretty quickly. Then it was driven home by the three-loving NBA champion Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry, who is already pretty much locked in as the greatest shooter of all time at just 27 years of age.
