The Celtics Of The Future

With a roster full of try-hards, a baby-faced coach for the ages, and an apocalyptic stockpile of picks, the Celtics are sneaking back into dominance.

The franchise of Russell, Cousy, Havlicek, Heinsohn, Cowens, Bird, McHale, Parish, Pierce, and Garnett, the franchise with an NBA-record 17 championships, the franchise that Bill Simmons spends more time talking about than the other 29 combined, is healthy and scary once more. Instead of being stuck in the past like the Lakers, the Celtics are young and forward-thinking, and their future is bright.

In order to truly have a bright future, a team needs to have some sort of groundwork in place at the present, otherwise, they become like Hinkie’s 76ers: full of skepticism, doubt and barely half-decent.
