PAWLEY’S ISLAND, S.C. – The Old Dominion women’s golf team earned a second place finish at the 2018 Golfweek Program Challenge with a three round total of 840, which broke the school record for lowest 54-hole score. ODU was led by freshman Jana Melichova who also finished in second as an individual. The Monarchs also broke the school record for lowest team 18-hole score for the second straight day.
Individually, starting her collegiate career with two back-to-back bogey-free rounds, Melichova posted rounds of 69, 66, 70 for an eight-under three round total of 205. Senior Sana Tufail also posted two consecutive under par scores to finish in fifth at the Golfweek Program Challenge.
