When the Philadelphia Eagles traded for cornerback Ronald Darby in the offseason, they knew they were getting a standout player. He separated himself from the other talent on the roster with his speed and aggressiveness. As he was expected to be the teams shut down cornerback, it wasn’t long until that thought was shut down itself.
During the second quarter of the week one match against the Washington Redskins, Darby went down with a dislocated ankle. After being carted off the field, it sure seemed like his season could be in jeopardy.
