Former Eagles cornerback Byron Maxwell is looking for yet another team today, as the Miami Dolphins released him, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Dolphins released CB Byron Maxwell today, per source. Expected to have a market.
Maxwell played in only two games with the Dolphins this season after first dealing with a nagging hamstring injury and being benched the past two weeks. The Dolphins acquired Maxwell via a trade with the Eagles before the 2016 season. The Dolphins also landed linebacker Kiko Alonso in the deal.
The Eagles, on the other hand, used the draft picks they acquired in the deal to trade up in that year’s draft and select quarterback Carson Wentz.
