Jason Peters returned to the sideline Wednesday, one day after the Eagles' left tackle practiced with the team. Peters has a back injury that affected his quadriceps and caused him to miss the last two games.
Coach Chip Kelly said he did not know whether to classify Peters' absence as a "setback."
"That's a good question," Kelly said before practice. "I just know he can't go today."
Peters was not available for comment again on Wednesday. Thursday will be a big indicator of whether he can play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's rare for a player to miss the Wednesday and Thursday practices and still play in the game.
