MLS Cup is over and the offseason is officially here. Today, MLS teams will have four hours from 6 to 10 AM PT to make trade moves before they have to announce the players they’re protecting in the Expansion Draft.
As Chris Rifer writes in our Half-Day Trade Window Live Blog, “Two factors make this four-hour trade window likely to be especially active. First, on Sunday afternoon teams have to release their protected lists for the Expansion Draft. To do so, many teams will want to get certain roster decisions finalized so that they don’t have to protect players they’ll ultimately send away.
