Welcome back to the Forecast after a successful week in Portland. The Timbers held out against Colorado - keeping Alan Gordon from his stoppage-time antics - to get a 2-1 win for their second victory in as many matches. All the scoring came between the 20th and 30th minutes of the game, started by Valeri’s fourth headed goal of the year in the 21st. Nagbe followed with a gorgeous chip in the 23rd, and Colorado retaliated in the 28th. PTFC had a chance to get a third goal when Valeri was fouled in the box, but David Guzman missed his PK.
