Monarchs Play to Scoreless Draw with Seattle

SANDY, Utah (Tuesday, April 26, 2016)Real Monarchs SLC played to a scoreless draw against Seattle Sounders FC 2 at Rio Tinto Stadium on Tuesday, earning a point after dropping consecutive 1-0 defeats in the previous two matches.

GK Lalo Fernandez finished with two saves – both in the first half – to earn the third shutout of the season for the Monarchs (2-2-2, 8 points).

The first good opportunity of the match came in the 11th minute when Seattle forward Victor Mansaray got a clean break into the box, but he pushed his shot into the far post and the match stayed scoreless.
