Walking off the court after a win against Nebraska last March, Austin Parks faced an uncertain reality about his future.
Injuries derailed the former Ohio State center for much of his two-year tenure there, and his mental health and confidence severely suffered as a result.
“A big part of it was mental, like just having to sit there,” Parks said. “We weren't having great seasons, we didn't make the national tournament, so not being able to help and do much from the sidelines really took a toll on my mindset and made me question myself as a player.
