KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan track and field team continues its indoor season this weekend at the Hoosier Horsepower Classic. The Broncos will compete against some of the top teams in the Midwest, including Illinois, Butler and Dayton.
AVA'S BIG DAY
Sophomore distance runner Ava Kurczewski had a tremendous season opener last weekend at the Wolverine Invitational, securing a time of 2:13.53 in the 800. That was good for third in the event and moved her into one of the top spots in the nation.
Entering this weekend's action, Kurczewski's time is second in the MAC, eighth in the Great Lakes Region and 41st in Division I.
