ABILENE, Texas — Wichita State defeated Abilene Christian, 4-3, on Thursday afternoon at Teague Special Events Center.
The Shockers (6-7) earned their second road victory of the season with the win over Abilene Christian (3-5) and earned their third win in their last four matches.
In doubles, Wichita State struck quickly, with and winning 6-1 at No. 2. and clinched the point for the Shockers soon after with a 6-3 win at No. 1, earning their seventh win of the dual season paired together.
In singles, the match tightened, as the teams split the first sets at three each.
