Shockers Score 30, Sweep Doubleheader

WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State put together a record-breaking performance on their way to a doubleheader sweep over Butler, defeating the Bulldogs 30-1 in game one and 6-4 in game two on Saturday at Eck Stadium.

The Shockers improved to 15-6 with the four-game sweep, while Butler dropped to 4-16.

Game One

Wichita State matched the largest margin of victory against a D1 opponent in program history, run-ruling Butler 30-1 in the first game of the twin bill.

It was a dominant effort both on the mound and at the plate for the Shockers, who held the Bulldogs to just two hits while racking up 22 of their own for the highest single-game total since the 2020 season.
